Customer Terms and Conditions

These terms should be read alongside the customer's project-specific proposal, scope of works, specifications, drawings and payment schedule once reviewed and published.

3. How the Contract Is Formed
The contract is formed only through the agreed written acceptance process of a formal proposal.
4. The Project-Specific Proposal
The payment schedule, scope, and specific terms shown in the accepted proposal take priority for that specific project.
5. Scope of Works
The agreed work, known specifications, and allowances are identified within the proposal before work begins.
6. Hidden Conditions and Unforeseen Work
Where concealed or unexpected conditions could not reasonably have been identified before work began, Milano will explain the issue and any proposed additional work before proceeding, except where urgent action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.
7. Variations
Material variations must be agreed in writing, including the description of the change, price effect, programme effect, and any additional information required.
8. Deposits and Payments
Milano uses project-specific payment schedules. Any treatment of deposits will account fairly for work already undertaken, reasonable committed costs, bespoke goods, made-to-order products, and the customer's statutory cancellation rights.
9. Workmanship Guarantee
We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on applicable work carried out directly under the agreed project contract.
10. Liability and Statutory Rights
We will perform services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or matters that cannot legally be excluded, nor does it affect your statutory consumer rights.
